Working Mom Gives Parliament Some Baby Love

Working Mom - European member of ParliamentMeet my new hero.

European Member of Parliament Licia Ronzulli from Italy. She cradled her seven-week-old baby as she voted on proposals to improve women’s employment rights.

She rocks.

The U.S. needs to do some serious catch up to Europe when it comes to accommodating working moms.

I loved this story when I read it! I’m a first time expecting mother and the idea of going back to work and leaving my baby in the hands of a daycare breaks my heart. I really wish we had the opportunity to do something like this!

I know Carolyn. Having to go back to work when you don’t want to, but have to because of finances, can be excruciating. The best tip I can give you is to find the best child care situation for your baby that you can. The better you feel about who is caring for your child, the easier it will be. Start looking now so you give yourself plenty of time to find the perfect provider.

Wow, that is awesome! We do have a ways to go in this country. I’m done having babies at this point, but I hope and pray that it’s improved by the time my kids are faced with a growing family.
