Marissa, my three year old, has a hard time pronouncing the “s” sound in front of a consonant. I’m in love with her li’l kid accent and will miss it when it’s gone.
The other day we were looking at acorns and assorted fall foilage her older sister had found. I said, “You know what likes nuts? Squirrels!” Marissa leaned over with a knowing expression and whispered, “You know what likes nuts? ‘kunks.”
