Losing weight isn’t easy, but there is something that can help—essential oils!
I’ve always struggled with keeping my weight consistent and have tried multiple different ways to manage my weight.
All in all, the most effective strategies I’ve found are regular exercise, controlling caloric intake, and eating foods that work for my body.
That being said, though, I’ve also found a number of different tips to lose weight that have supported my effort. One thing that I’ve most recently explored are essential oils, and you know what?

1. Grapefruit Oil
Grapefruit has been a widely used weight management aid for years.
It is just as effective in the form of essential oil. Grapefruit contains an active component d-limonene, which helps to release fatty acids in the bloodstream to be broken down and transformed into energy. For this reason, grapefruit essential oil also aids in metabolism, lymphatic detox, and fat burn.
To use this oil, add 1 to 2 drops to 8 ounces of water and drink at the beginning of the day.
2. Lemon Oil
Just like grapefruit oil, lemon contains d-limonene as well as a number of other vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C.
Lemon oil helps with fat metabolism, but it also helps remedy toxins from your body and reestablishes balance in your intestines. Lemon oil is also a great appetite suppressant.
You can use this oil effectively by massaging it into areas of your body that are fat-prone or have cellulite or by drinking 1 to 2 drops in a glass of water at the beginning of the day.
3. Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil
Cinnamon is a great oil for a variety of treatments.
It is a natural anti-inflammatory agent, so it can help your body naturally reduce inflammation that may be contributing to bloating weight gain, and digestive discomfort. It also helps metabolize sugar more effectively, so you’ll be better able to use the foods you eat for energy.
Finally, cinnamon promotes circulation, enhances the immune system, and improves the health of your intestines. So, you’ll not just lose weight using cinnamon bark oil, you’ll improve your body’s overall function.
Add 1 to 2 drops of cinnamon bark to a cup of warm water with honey and drink in the morning or at night.
4. Peppermint Oil
Have you ever wondered why it’s easier to say no to a sugary snack when you’re chewing a piece of gum?
You guessed it!
This oil is great for reducing your appetite and suppressing your cravings. It literally triggers a part of your brain to indicate fullness.
Add 1 to 2 drops of peppermint to a glass of water and drink it before every meal to help you feel fuller while still eating less.
